Weekly Construction Update: 10/14/2012

This week the following work was expected:

·         CMU/cinder block wall patching around elevator doors

·         Reworking lights in and around west offices

·         Tile installation in the laundry room (lower level)

·         Installation of millwork (cabinetry, etc) in the laundry room (lower level)

·         Continued installation of ceiling tiles in the lower level

·          Continued clearing out Great Hall area to prepare for finishing

·         Installation of ceiling tiles in the Welcome Center

·         Construction of a temporary wall in the Welcome Center to separate construction site from Cathedral

·         Continued sidewalk replacement along Rush and Huron including replacement of curbs, adjustment of utility covers, and begin pouring concrete slabs.

Next week the following work is expected:

·         Installation of elevator doors

·         Continued tiling in the laundry room (lower level)

·         Continued Installation of millwork in the laundry room

·         Final painting of doors and frames in the lower level

·         Installation of miscellaneous hardware in the lower level

·         Installation of a handrail on lower level stairs

·         Continued installation of Welcome Center ceiling

·         Installation of sprinkler system and lights in the Welcome Center

·         Continued construction of the temporary wall between the construction area and Cathedral

·         Continued sidewalk replacement along Rush and Huron

This week the following work was expected:

·         Continued work on the Welcome Center ceiling

·         Installation of Welcome Center restroom fixtures

·         Mechanical, electrical and plumbing installation trim

·         Begin installation of ceiling tiles in the Welcome Center

·         Begin installation of floor tiles on the west side of the lower level

·         Installation of lights in the Great Hall area (formerly Burrill Hall) of the lower level

·         Installation of ceiling tiles in the lower level

·         Installation of millwork in the Working Sacristy

·         Begin installation of ceiling tiles in the Working Sacristy

·         Continued work on the installation of the elevator in the office tower building

·         Continued work on the ceiling grid in the west offices

·         Continued work on the lights in the west offices

·         Continued work on the HVAC in the west offices

·         Begin installation of ceiling tiles in the west offices

·         Continued sidewalk replacement along Rush and Huron

Next week the following work is expected:
