This week the following work was expected:
· Ongoing floor tile in the Welcome Center
· Installation of handrails in stairwell to lower level in the addition
· Installation of doors and hardware in the Welcome Center
· Ongoing painting in the Great Hall and other lower level spaces
· Preparation of floor in the Great Hall for carpeting
· Begin installation of carpet squares in the Great Hall
· Installation of handrails at other lower level stairs
· Installation of doors and hardware in the lower level
· Pouring stairs to the lower level from the north plaza
· Pouring the west sidewalk (from the Huron Street sidewalk to the lower level door on the plaza)
· Pouring the Labyrinth base
· Finish pouring the plaza ramp concrete
· Pouring bench piers and sign foundation on the north plaza
· Stone and soil backfill on the north plaza
· Final sidewalk and curb demolition
· Placing soil and trees around the labyrinth area
· Frame and pour the labyrinth
· Ongoing elevator work in office tower
· Continued work on the ceiling grid in the office tower west offices
· Reworking mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in some west office areas
· Finish drop ceiling installation and painting in the west offices
· Ongoing exterior cleaning of Office Tower
Next week the following work is expected:
· Installation of Welcome Center storefront doors
· Begin carpeting of the west offices
· Final floor tile in the Welcome Center
· Final painting in the Welcome Center
· Installation of carpet in some Welcome Center areas
· Begin cleaning the Welcome Center
· Ongoing installation of carpet tiles in the Great Hall (lower level)
· Cleaning in the Great Hall and lower level renovated areas
· Grinding streets and laying new asphalt on Rush and Huron as required by the City of Chicago
· Continued carpeting in the west offices of the office tower
· Ongoing exterior cleaning of Office Tower
