Weekly Construction Update: 9/14/2012

This week the following work was expected:

·         Frame stair riser in the loading dock area

·         Place landing and stairs in the loading dock area

·         Continued tiling, installation of fixtures and accessories in lower level restrooms

·         Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work in the ceiling, west end of lower level

·         Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work in the ceiling of the Welcome Center

·         Taping drywall seams on the walls and ceiling in the Welcome Center

·         Tiling in Welcome Center restrooms.

·         Begin installation of new office building elevator

·         Demolition/removal of carpet in west offices

·         Construction of concrete block walls in west offices (surrounding new elevator) on the third and fourth floors.

Next week the following work is expected:

·         Strip bottom forms from previous concrete work in the loading dock area after one week drying time.

·         Build walls in the dock area

·         Installation of steel on the south wall of the loading dock alley area

·         Continued installation of fixtures and accessories in lower level restrooms

·         Installation of stall partitions in lower level restrooms

·         Installation of ceiling tiles in the lower level

·         Continued tiling in Welcome Center restrooms

·         Continued taping of drywall seams on Welcome Center ceiling

·         Work on Welcome Center stairs

·         Application of first coat of paint in the Welcome Center

·         Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work in Welcome Center

·         Begin installation of fixtures in the Welcome Center restrooms

Construction Update: 9/4/2012

Last week the following work was expected to be completed:

·         Demolition of concrete in the dock area ally

·         Chipping top south foundation wall at the loading dock

·         Digging for grade beams for dock structure

·         Framing and placement of grade beams and stone in the loading dock area

·         Hanging drywall on the west side of the lower level

·         Taping drywall seams on the west side of the lower level

·         Continued tiling work in lower level restrooms

·         Work in the pump room

·         Hanging drywall in the Welcome Center addition

·         Continued framing of the hard ceiling in the Welcome Center

·         Taping drywall seams in the Welcome Center

·         Reworking of power to the elevator shaft in the office tower

·         Patching of CMU/cinder block walls

·         Installation of safety rail around elevator work area in the office tower

This week the following work is expected:

·         Continued framing and placement of grade beam and stone in the loading dock area

·         Placement of concrete slab in the loading dock ally

·         Framing for stairs and landing at the loading dock

·         Installation of rebar in the dock area

·         Continued tiling work in lower level restrooms

·         Installation of ceiling grid on the west side of the lower level

·         Installation of fixtures and accessories in lower level restrooms

·         Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work in the ceiling grid, west side of lower level

·         Continued framing of the hard ceiling in the Welcome Center addition

·         Rough-in mechanical, electrical and plumbing in the Welcome Center ceiling

·         Continued taping of drywall seams in the Welcome Center

·         Inspection of Welcome Center ceiling

·         Tiling in Welcome Center restrooms

·         Drywalling Welcome Center ceilings

·         Continued patching of CMU walls around the office tower elevator shaft

·         Installation of ductwork in the west office tower rooms

·         Demolition of walls in the area of the elevator on the second floor

·         Removal of some carpet in west offices
